These binoculars were Red Army bring-backs (war souvenirs) that I acquired in Tbilisi, Georgia. From my limited research, I conclude that these are late WW II production. I believe that this indicates they may have been made by slaves and/or POWs. They do not have a swastika or any other military insignia nor any indication that such has been removed. In simply looking over (and through) them, the optics appear perfect and undamaged and unscratched. The adjustments move smoothly and effortlessly. There are a few paint chips on high spots where they must have been knocked around a bit over the intervening years, but no dents or other damage. You can see in the photos that there are three or so places that have been painted over. I believe these to be chips or blems that were simply painted over at the factory in the name of expedience rather than rejected. As you can also see, these binoculars come with the original factory leather eye-piece cover. Domestic US shipping will be $11. International shipping will be $30.
