~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta C, 531/2 Camera ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rare find!!! Antique / Vintage / Old / Collectible This auction is for a Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta C, 531/2. Early-1950s camera with coated Zeiss-Opton Tessar 105/3.5 in X-synced Compur Rapid, Coupled rotating-prism rangefinder, the original brown hard leather Zeiss Ikon camera case a brown soft leather the "Gadg-it camera bag and takes 6 x 9 negatives. The camera lens is a Tessar 1:3.5 f= 10.5cm made by Carl Zeiss Jena Nr2172260. Condition: * Camera seems to be in working condition. The rangefinder and camera back both open and close easily. The camera bellows/lens opens and closes as smoothly as the day it came from the factory and snaps securely closed. The shutter does work, but am not able to locate new film to take any test photos. The camera is used but in good condition with no major scratches or other obvious damage. * Hard brown leather camera case - Zeiss Ikon is stamped into the front of this original camera case. The camera attaches to the camera case by tightening a thumbscrew at the bottom of the case. The case has an over the neck brown leather strap and is missing the top of the case. The case is othewise in worn, but clean condition. * Soft brown leather camera bag - This Gadg-It camera bag is used with many worn areas. The zippered top works and closes the camera bag completely. There is a small outside accessory pocket with a torn and cracked clasp/strap. There is a small built in pocket in the main compartment that holds a small zippered bag with some lens accessories. There are a few areas of blue corrosion on metal like zippers and rivits on the leather carring case This beautiful camera was a classic in it's day and would make a wonderful addition for anyone who collects antique cameras. Marvel at the workmanship of the Zeiss Ikon camera company. You won't find many other cameras in this condition for sale at any price. This would make a wonderful Christmas gift for any Photographer!
