Rochester, N.Y. Below the decal is stamped- Pat. Apd. for. It has a tilting wood head for the camera which is removable by means of a thumb screw. The triangular shaped center post can be raised or lowered by loosening 2 thumb screws and pulling it up or pushing it down. The head has a thumb screw for attaching a camera and measures about 7 1/8 x 4 5/8 inches. I found an old 1914 advertisement for this tripod which said the No. 2 it is for up to 8x10 cameras! It seems a little large, but the tripod is quite sturdy and stable. The tilt head has a modern nut for tightening in position so an original thumb screw may be missing. The tripod stands about 32.5 inches high with the legs spread fully and the center post touching the floor. Fully raised it measures about 48.5 inches tall with the legs fully spread.
