It has a very fancy brass clasp. The outer velvet has worn places as shown along with worn corners. There are eighteen pages with room for cabinet photos either side. Some pages have scuffs and frame tears, but most are in very good condition. All will hold pictures. However this is an empty album with no pictures included. The amazing thing about this album is the writing compartment in the back, which contains an inkwell, and places for a pen, envelopes, paper and stamps. it is all original.
