It is made by magnesium but keep lightweight. In this macro stage, it can make very precise 4-way camera alignment: forward, back, left and right. Ideal for precise close-up work, tilting or macro-photography. In this new present slider, Velbon adopts an innovative design that the top plate and bottom base can be detached. If a photographer only need fore-and-aft movement in macro shooting, he can easily separate two plates and only use the top plate while lighten the bearing of tripod or monoball. Really a very considerate design ! The overall length of the top plate is 8.1", and the bottom base is 4.4". Features two reversible 1/4-20" to 3-8" tripod connections, and a 1/4-20" camera screw. It fits all Velbon tripods and most of other brand tripods.
