Description
THANKS FOR VISITING To view all the items we have for sale please visit our eBay Store where you’ll find many fine modern, classic and vintage collectible cameras, lenses and accessories categorized by brand or genre. In addition there’s a category for Weekly Auction Listings and always a huge selection of photographic literature. Hundreds of original manuals and brochures (no CDs, photocopies or reprints of any kind) plus how-to books and user guides in our Instruction Books & Brochures category. If you have any questions please email frendakfurnari@earthlink.net or call Monday to Friday 9-6. Stopomatic Xenon Hi, and thanks for looking. Here we have a Schneider 50mm F1.9 "Stopomatic" Xenon lens #6991042 in Exakta mount. Included with the lens is a 49mm metal shade. It's aftermarket but fits the Schneider front cap that I have to include (from a LF lens) perfectly. And there's a Steinheil rear cap for it. There's also the original lens instructions and a brochure which interestingly doesn't call it the Stopomatic and simply calls it Automatic and refers to the built in (and removable) exposure meter. I gently tried to remove the meter as per the instructions and it didn't want to come off. I'm sure it will but it's been on there for decades and I didn't want to force it (they warn against that in the instructions but I don't think anyone who handles vintage cameras and lenses needs to be told you shouldn't force anything). As to the lens itself, the condition is fantastic. There's a little wear on the mount but you'll be hard pressed to find any signs of handling elsewhere. Glass has some internal dust but no flaws, haze, marks etc. Meter is working and seems reasonably accurate. All mechanical lens functions, including the coupling to the meter, work fine.   Please be sure to read and understand the following policies before bidding to ensure a fast and smooth transaction. Warranties, if offered, are outlined in the item description above. Pictures are of the actual item being offered. A Note on Feedback: We ALWAYS leave positive feedback for bidders who have completed a purchase. Generally speaking feedback is left in sessions, every few weeks, after a bunch of listings are bought and paid for, shipped, everybody's happy etc. Attention Paypal Users: On occasion we do not receive payment confirmation emails from Paypal, some sort of glitch that happens every few months (and usually only to US based emails/accounts). When this happens we may not be aware of your payment for days so we ask that after making payment via Paypal you send us a quick note. This will help ensure your item is on its way to you as quickly as possible. We ship fast, usually within 24 hours and almost without fail within 48 hours. On rare occasions there’s a delay and of course weekends and holidays may slow down the process a bit but a quick note from you will help us keep those occasions to a minimum. IN THE USA   Shipping is a fixed price in the USA as quoted above. If you’ve won or purchased an item and are paying with Paypal please click on the “Pay Now” button on the listing page or in the post auction email from eBay when you’re ready to complete payment. If you need an invoice please request one as we normally don’t send them to US bidders and buyers as the overwhelming majority of folks tend to follow up via the “Pay Now” prompts. Shipping is via Insured Priority Mail unless otherwise noted above. NJ RESIDENTS ADD 7% to your winning bid price and then add the shipping cost. For combined shipping please contact us when the auctions are done. Paypal payments ship immediately upon email confirmation. Money Orders ship immediately upon receipt. Personal Checks must clear before shipping (4-10 days depending). Confirmation emails are not sent when an items ships (until we can find an automated system we like). Your item will ship within 48 hrs and more often within a day. You will be contacted if there is a delay in shipping.   Attention European Bidders: The US Post Office made significant changes in 2007. Prices for insured shipping to many European countries on high value items (usually $650 and up) increased dramatically. Please read the section below for more details. You are also encouraged to click on USPS International Postal Calculator and follow the prompts to see how this may apply to you. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS  WE DO NOT QUOTE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING COSTSIf you would like to get an idea of your shipping costs before the auction's end go to the USPS International Postal Calculator. It’s a very handy tool. Bookmark it, familiarize yourself with it, and it can help you to make informed bidding decisions on all the items you see on ebay. If you’re unsure of the shipping weight contact us or simply take an educated guess and you’re sure to be fairly close. International Shipping is NOT a flat rate to all international destinations. eBay's international shipping calculator does not provide all the current options available via the US Post Office. International Shipping will be as per the following: International Winners will receive an invoice within 24-48 hrs with available shipping options. International Winners will pay actual shipping costs plus a $3 Processing Fee. Paypal & International Money Orders are accepted. No Direct/Bank Wire Transfers. No "Gift" declarations. For items over $75 Insurance Is Mandatory when payment is made via Paypal. If you wish to save on shipping costs and are willing to risk under-insuring your item you can pay via International Money Order or other pre-agreed methods to the address provided after the auction closes. Please contact us for more information. International shipping options we offer via the US Post Office are as follows: First Class International: No insurance and no tracking available. Only offered for items under $75 when the buyer is paying via Paypal. Weight limit of 4lbs. Priority Mail International: Insurance included. Limited tracking available. Express Mail International: Insurance included. Comprehensive tracking included. Tracking number provided to the buyer. Global Express Guaranteed: Insurance included. Comprehensive tracking included. Tracking number provided to the buyer. GEG is a service provided jointly by the US Post Office and FedEx. Attention European Bidders:GEG is necessary at times to meet our mandatory insurance requirements for buyers of high value items from many European countries when paying via Paypal. For items valued at $650 or more but in some cases (like Germany) $500 or more, full insurance is only available via the GEG service which is very costly. For example a typical (in size and weight) 35mm or digital SLR camera and lens valued at $1000 will cost $80-100 to ship (vs. $30-40 prior to the change). To see if this affects you click on the International Postal Calculator link above. Use the drop down menu to select your country and follow the prompts to see what levels of service and corresponding insurance offerings are available to you. For cost saving alternatives see above or contact us for more information. Good Luck and Thanks Again Copyright © 2008 - Robert Furnari
