My wife and I have been using them in our business and have owned about ten or so over the years. We never had less than four Pentax LX cameras in our professional inventory at any one time. Back-up cameras, such as this one, saw very little use. To our knowledge, the newer LX cameras (those with serial numbers higher than 530xxxx) do not suffer from the sticky mirror problem. That has been our experience since our first 4-5 cameras which had lower serial numbers like 522xxxx and 527xxxx were sent to Pentax to fix that very problem (a $160.00+ repair!) so we are very much aware. This camera does not have that problem . . . it is functioning 100% as new. It has not been in for servicing since it has seen so little use (no need for even a CLA) and has never been in need of repair.
