It's in excellent condition. Brass hardware looks great. There is a lot of nice brass. Could use some polishing. Original leather handle is intact. Wood is beautiful. The 8X10 ground focusing glass is intact. The bellows look like triple extension bellows! Very long and very good condition, cloe to MINT condition. The large lens measures 3 1/2 inches long X 2 inches in diameter.  The lens reads with beautiful engraving: "PAUL TEUFEL STUTTGART " , "Universal Aplanat" , "Extra Rapid" , "17461". The camera folding up measures 13 inches high X11 1/2 inches wide and 3 5/8 inches thich!  The tailboard when folded down, the camera measures 15 1/2 inches long. Unlocked, and the center piece locking hte bed in place, and the extension extended, the tailboard measures 26 inches long! WOW! Now this is a fine camera. Engraved in the brass hardware on the read above the focsuing glass reads: "GESETZL." , "GESCHUTZT". On the fornt is an ivory identification badge that reads "PAUL TEUFEL, STUTTGART".  I found references of this name as far back as the mid 1800s. Stuttgart is the location Germany of the origin of this camera. There is a strong family name "PAUL TEUFEL" whch expands throughout the century. A beautiful vintage wood 8X10 camera. The rear ground focusing glass panel folds down on brass hinges. A fine one for the collection. There is a hook on top that goes to nothing. The hook on the side clips and holds the camera together.This camera has a lot of adjustment knobs. Very well made. Hope it goes to good use.Add this one to your collection.
