Provides broadcast quality *4:2:2:4 digital component quality and Dynamic Rounding™ technology to assure clean gradient transitions, smooth edges and crisp video processing. The AG-MX70 can create more than 600 2D effect patterns including transitions, key patterns, melts, mosaic, paint, trail and multi-image. Incorporates two frame synchronizers, a feature which makes it unnecessary for two video signals to be synchronized. Key Features Live Switching Eight video inputs, each with a tally output, and M/E (M ix/E ffects) and DSK (D own S tream K ey) preview prepare the AG-MX70 for use as a switcher with multi-camera feeds for live studio or event applications.   RS-422A/RS-232C/GPI Built-in RS-232C and *RS-422A inputs allow **A/B roll edit controllers and PC computers to take full serial control of the AG-MX70. A GPI (General Purpose Interface) input is offered for simple trigger control. *GVG/Sony Switchable **Compatible Edit Controllers: Panasonic (AG-A850) Sony (BVE-2000, BVE-910, BVE700, PVE-500)   LCD Panel A large LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) provides easy monitoring of system status. A five-row matrixmenu display with five rotary switches makes it easy to navigate and set the multitude of menu functions. The menu, which is linked to keys on the operating panel, automatically switches to show the necessary settings. This simplifies the panel operation and reduces the number of steps.   Panel Controls 1. Joystick area:Six buttons and a joystick allow adjustment to the effect position (X/Y/Z positions), size and color (UV white balance and chroma saturation). 2. Pattern area:  Offers four pre-set pattern-shapes (box, circle, star, heart) in addition to picture-in-picture. Seven direct transition patterns are available for immediate use, or can be set to any pattern.   A REV (reverse) button is available to reverse the key and transition key patterns, reverse the frame in/out and reverse the chroma key, luminance key, external key and title key.   A DSK Effects button sets transition patterns and 3D-DVE for DSK (Down Stream Key) use. ME (Mix Effect) is automatically set to dissolve.   A LUM (luminance) key is available to activate the luminance key. When used, the previous setting is stored in memory.   A CHRM (chroma) key is available to activate the chroma key. When used, the previous setting is stored in memory.  3. Preview Output area:Four buttons offer control to determine which image among the transition preview, DSK preview and A/B bus images are to be sent to the Preview output. 4. Effects Execution area:Applies one of four effects (still, strobe, mosaic/decay, color effect) to either the A or B bus. 5. MIX Effects area:Includes four source select buttons and one Int/Ext button for each bus (A/Prog and B/Preset). Each of the four source buttons can be used to select one of two inputs via a Shift Key, for a total of eight possible input choices. A transition lever enables manual transitions between buses. The Auto Take button executes the selected transition over the user setable Transition Time. 6. Audio Mixer area:Each of the four audio source sliders can be used to select one of two inputs via a Shift Key, for a total of eight balanced XLR, stereo inputs. Two AUX sliders offer stereo RCA inputs.   Digital Effects2D Equipped with over 600 2D effects including transition and key patterns, mosaic, paint, trail and multi-image. 3D The optional AG-VE70 effects board provides more than 1,600 3D effects including page turn, ripple, accordion and sphere. The 2D and 3D effects can be combined to create sophisticated looks that rival many high-end DVEs.   Dynamic RoundingThe AG-MX70 offers the option to turn on or off an 8-bit Dynamic Rounding algorithm to the video signal. Dynamic Rounding processing helps to output a clean video signal, after the signal has been processed by an effect.   SDI (SMPTE 259M-C)The optional AG-YA70 board offers the AG-MX70 a 4-input/1-output serial digital component interface.   MX-Navi SoftwareAllows graphics files (TGA, MBP, JPEG) created with other graphic applications to be downloaded from a PC via a USB connection. Downloads are stored in an internal graphics *buffer for use in creating roll or crawl titles, logo animation, and other effects.   4:2:2:4 Digital ProcessingThe AG-MX70 offers a high quality 4:2:2:4 digital component signal processing, and wipe patterns. Accommodates both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios.   Audio MixerProvides a versatile audio mixer with four stereo XLR inputs plus two auxiliary mono RCA inputs, one of which can be a mic input. Audio can be linked (or unlinked) to the video transitions for an audio follow video effect.
