This unique lens is capable of correcting perspective distortion by allowing the photographer to shift the lens position parallel to then film plane. Although 24mm in focal length (normally: 84° angle of view), the lens is essentially equivalent to a 18mm lens in angle of coverage (actual 100°). It is used for critical architectural, studio and composite panoramic photography. Specially suitable for high-rise buildings and short distances where the 35mm shift can't be used.
