I even checked with my local camera dealer in Minneapolis, but they did not have one to test it on. The motor does run when a battery pack and grip is attached (being sold now in seperate listings as are 2 film cassettes for this unit). The person I purchased it from on eBay 2 years ago stated it work fine. The 2 small foam patches that hold the film cassettes in place may need to be replaced.
