Description
Back in Production after recent redesign/improvement 3D WORLD Medium Format  Stereo Camera TL-120 Outfit $1,595 plus shipping (fixed $200) = $1,795 shipped anywhere in the world Here is some recent feedback regarding these cameras: "I would buy this camera at 3 times the price, once I saw how good the results were. This camera gives the "Rolls Royce" of stereo views, no debate about it, IMHO. I'm buying a second one to mount wide angle lenses on or to use for hypers." "I agree that the Tl-120 is the sharpest stereo camera I own. The lenses are nearly as sharp as my friend's Hasselblad 503cw; we've taken pictures of the same subject(s) and have compared.  I too recommend the Tl-120, and for what it is the price is quite fair." The well-known Sports Illustrated Stereo Photographer (David Klutho) recently bought one and here is the feedback I got: "Klutho gave very high marks to the Chinese MF camera! Super sharp lenses, loves it for portraits!" One of my USA customers has bought two cameras already.  Apparently he is not alone.  Another friend for Canada just sold his Sputnik to buy a 2nd 3D World camera. And another stereo photographer in Australia is buying a second one for hyperstereos. You are getting: 1. Medium Format Camera & accessories Details follow... 2. Medium Format Mounting Jig & 10 empty mounts Complete details are here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320169432294 3. Medium Format Viewer in Presentation Box + 10 Sample Mounts Complete details are here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220212690968 This is the first commercially produced Medium Format stereo camera after the Sputnik. And it is a great improvement. And now, it is EVEN BETTER!   After being in the market for one year, the company has taken into account user feedback and have made improvements.  Here is a summary of these improvements: The catch to lock the Prism in place was changed to a secure, positive action, locking button.  The metering system has been redesigned and improved.  The bubble level has been redesigned. The Prism is still removable when desired for storage or replacement with a Hasselblad waist level finder. Added to the camera outfit is a new snap-on three lens sun shade. A user (who got one of the new redesigned cameras - his second camera!) wrote to me: "As far as I can tell, the major difference in this version of theTL-120 is that the light meter cell actually resides in the camera body instead of in the prism. There is a little light sensor on the back part of the metal frame that holds the prism and it seems to point upwards into a recessed hole that reads light collected through the prism.  Thus, in the older model, the light level LED indicator would not work at all if the prism was detached. In the current revised model, the light level LED indicators do work" Accessories included with the camera Official Specifications directly from the manufacturer: Camera Type: Medium Format Tri-lens Stereo Camera (Reflex Viewing Lens) Lenses: Anti-reflection coated glass optics, seven elements in six groups. f/2.8, 80mm focal length Lens separation: 63.5mm Focusing: manual adjustment, 0.8 m - infinity Shutter type: metal focal plane shutter Aperture: F2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16, 22 and six half stops Shutter Speeds: B, 1,1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500Sec. If you want to read UNBIASED discussions about this camera, go to the MF3D-group mailing list under yahoogroups.com I will quote here reviews, published in this group.  These reviews were written for the original model. Please go to the mailing list to read the entire reviews and other comments regarding this camera. Without a doubt this is one of the best true stereo cameras EVER made. It certainly beats the Sputnik and Rolleidoscop in terms of lens quality, easy of use, viewfinder and shutter speed options. The speeds are accurate, as is the light meter. The lenses are well coated. A 2.8 taking lens is very bright and easy to focus with. The camera can easily obtain orthostereo conditions, something most stereo cameras of ANY format cannot.  The images are as sharp as any I've seen from any of my medium format cameras.  They are flat, edge to edge.  Neither my Sputnik nor my Rolleidoscop has been out of its bag since I got my TL120-1. As for the camera I found it very easy to hold and use. I can hold the camera with both hands and still use my fingers to adjust both the focus and f-stop. The light meter can be activated by either a button on the back left (using your free left thumb) or by half depressing the shutter release. The viewfinder was easy to look through while wearing glasses and the adjustable diopter brought the image into very sharp focus.  As for the images themselves I couldn't be happier. The exposures were right on, they are very, very sharp especially considering I was hand holding at 1/30th on some, and the color and contrast are great. Just like the Stereo Realist in 1947, you are not getting just a stereo camera.  You are getting a complete medium format stereo camera system (three large boxes), consisting of the following: Box #1: TTL-120 Medium format Camera and accessories Box #2:  Mounting jig and 10 blank mounts Box #3: Handheld Medium Format Viewer & 10 sample slides All you then need is a roll of 120 Slide Film and you can have your first slides mounted and ready for viewing with no other supplies needed. Warranty: Each camera comes complete with a One Year - Manufacturer's Warranty. The Warranty and Repair Facility is at the factory in China.  Should warranty work ever become necessary, consumer must pay for shipping to the factory. Warranty work, and return shipping is paid by the manufacturer.  Also, you might be interested in the Sequential (rotary) Medium Format viewer.
