Everything works great, clean and in near mint shape. If you know anything about mySky, you know that there was a factory defect in the software (firmware) in some units that did not allow the unit to lock onto a GPS satelight when first turned on, and the unit would just lock up and sit there. After researching the issue, I found that incorrect firmware was installed on the unit from the factory that would not allow the date and time to update correctly from the satelight lock, or somthing like that. I investigated the fix and performed it on the unit by updating the mySky with the correct software so that the GPS system can lock onto the satelights. With the upgrade I performed, that is no longer an issue. Note: Shipping is an estimate and I will recalculate once the winning bids zip code is known. I will also allow local pickup if the winner would like to pick up the unit in Wisconsin. The knobs are tethered and spring-loaded so they can’t be lost in the field. The spreader bar that locks the legs open is spring-loaded, so setting up and taking down the tripod takes only a few seconds. There are six or so 1.25" diameter holes in the spreader bar to hold eyepieces. The tripod comes with a padded carrying. The 14 lb. #884 deluxe field tripod has tubular chromed steel legs and is adjustable in height from 26" to 44" when used in the altazimuth mode. It has a built-in equatorial wedge with an integral scale and no-tool latitude (altitude) adjustment for use at any observing latitude between 20° and 90°.
