Description
eBay Sell Manfrotto Panoramic Head 3415 / 302QTVR Previous version of the 303PLUS with 338 Works perfectly! No Scratches or Marks! After 34 years of still photography I have moved to shooting HD video. With video, it's easy and natural to pan a scene. So, I don't need a panoramic head for still photography to do the same thing. (Maybe my love of pano was always a desire for a video look.) You may be one of those people who wants a wider view for your still photography. This pano head will give you a tool for capturing the pictures to stitch in your computer. They don't get much better than this one. They don't make this version any more. The upgraded version isn't packaged quite the same. It would be the same as the 303PLUS... 303PLUS ...with the 338 leveling head... 338 I'm not sure why you would want a pano head without a leveling base. Just about any stitching software works a lot easier if the pictures that were captured were done on the level. This can save you a lot of headaches. The latest and greatest is probably the one that can do spherical/cubic capture... 303SPH This version does not do spherical/cubic capture. Oh, you could do it if you loosened the screw into the base of the camera and rotated the camera. It wouldn't give the precession and nodal point adjustment that you expect from a head like this. If you really want to do spherical/cubic (I didn't), they do make an upgrade... 303SPHUK At least the option is there for the future. Spherical/cubic is good if you are trying to capture the whole inside of a room. I did most of my pano work outside and didn't need it. Below are pictures of the exact 3415 pano head I am selling. I edited in Photoshop with just the normal corrections. I didn't change anything of significance. I'm not sure what the front is on a pano head that is designed to rotate 360 degrees. I'll show 3 different views. The top gray part is the "L" shaped part that mounts on the camera in the tripod hole. This is a quick mount that can be mounted in landscape or portrait orientation. This is in portrait orientation. Portrait orientation is common because it captures the up and down best. You don't really care about the sides because you just add a few more shots to cover that. This pano head works as well as it every did. It is as good as new. I've never had any problem with it at all. Well, the only problem is that it is heavy. The shipping weight on this is almost 6 pounds! You think before you haul this very far. I guess that's what you get with a top quality tool that will last for years. Of course, you want to get tripod legs that can handle this weight plus your camera. If you want to take panoramic pictures and stitch them together with software in your computer, this is the best tool you can get to capture those pictures. It is a superbly crafted and engineered tool that should last for decades for you. I only accept PayPal for payment. The equipment that I've sold over the years was packaged very well and I've never had any damage. This will be packaged just as well or better. For $18.00 USD shipping and handling I will ship it by USPS Priority Mail anywhere in the USA. I will ship it to Canada for $25.00 USD shipping and handling. At this weight they make me send it to Canada by Priority Mail International. I may ship outside the USA or Canada. However, you must contact me before you bid to verify. We can discuss the options and cost. You will also have to take responsibility for any shipping damage. I will probably agree to ship by carriers such as UPS and FedEx. I will not play games with the labeling; I will label the box and customs ticket with what is actually in the box. i.e. No "gift" labels. I do not end auctions early if anyone has already bid. I don't like ending any auction early. If I do, it had better be a very good price. I also don't want to sell it with pickup at my location. This Manfrotto 3415 pano head is sold "AS IS". I don't guarantee anything about it. I will say that I have photographed and described it to the best of my ability for accuracy. Good luck and enjoy!
