The tripod is ultra compact and uses an innovative method of hiding a second center column that unscrews from the interior of the first center colulmn when stored and then can be screwed to the main center column to increase the height of the tripod. The leg uses a friction lock that is inset and would not be easily damaged or obstructed if carried in the field. The tripod also features 3 rubber bumpers that screw in and expose the tripod spikes. Very clever and beautifully made.
