It was one of thier earlier models and it works great.This allows you to be able to use SLR lenses on video cameras that didn't have a removable lens to be able to control focus and depth of field more accurately. One end of the adapter has silver threads and a macro lens. The other end is open right now. There is a little thumb screw that holds a silver 'mount'. That is where you mount your SLR lens. The side thats facing out is the Nikon side and when you remove it and flip it around, will fit Canon lenses. Nikon AI or Canon FD lenses will work with this. The type that just twists and snugs to the mount. The image will be upside down with this adapter since it doesn't use a prism or mirror to flip it like the later adapters do.
