The back uses a 10mp, 1.3x crop, micro lens sensor. When ROM type lenses are employed, optical characteristics such as vignetting, are corrected at the time of capture and the micro lens technology allows for even light distribution across the entire sensor. Superior Leica lenses deliver more information to the sensor to be recorded than any other optics, resulting in an image that needs little, if any post production work! This camera and back are in excellent cosmetic condition and perfect working order. The body has only the faintest handling wear and the back is just slightly shiny on the base, with just a couple of minor scuffs. I give this set an easy (9+) cosmetic rating. The camera can easily be separated from the DMR and used to shoot film once the included back and grip are quickly reinstalled. The DMR includes the original box, instructions, firewire cable, 3 batteries, charger, international plug adapters, focusing screen with format crop marks and case for the digital back.
