Description Offered for sale is one of the finest and diverse collections of educational filmstrips that I have come upon in over twenty years.  This undisturbed collection of 360 film strips spans from the 1930's through the 1970's and remains in good playing condition with matching canisters.  The subject matter presented in this collection is amazingly varied, including a dozen or so "News Reels"(please refer to the pictures for a sampling of titles, too numerous to list).  Note also that not all the filmstrips are shown in the smaller pictures... Ebay only permits twelve photographs.  Most of the filmstrips also feature photographs -black and white and two-tone color and some full color- others are beautifully illustrated.Historically, this collection provides the viewer with a much more than small peak into the past and is a fascinating study in the way we lived in the not so long ago, brought to life vividly through stunning photographic stills.  From the mundane daily work of delivering coal to building new homes in the post WWII era, troop trains and military service, logging in Canada, flora and fauna, the milkman, grocer, the automobile industry... nearly every facet of life is represented.  Still more educational film strips present peoples of faraway places and lost cultures... the subjects are truly diverse and the collection itself is easily a whole sociological library contained in a small space with each film strip having between 20 - 50 still frames.This historical collection also offers a fantastic opportunity for publishers and those wishing to reissue vintage and retro materials.CONDITION:Every filmstrip canister has been checked to see if there is a filmstrip inside.  50% has been checked to see if the filmstrip matches the title and that the filmstrip is in good condition, all affirmative answers.  58 filmstrips have been played on a projector to determine overall viewability with very good results.  These filmstrips were stored in a good environment and there is NO mold, musty or dampness... the strips are not crackly and have excellent resilience... they roll back nicely and all indications are that they were handled well over the years.  This collection dates from the 1930's to the 1970's.  DOES NOT INCLUDE THE FILMSTRIP STORAGE CABINET PICTURED!
