Description
This Lambda Pi50 is in prefect working condition. It can print on both 200 and 400 PPI. Machine is in very low mileages and taking care by Durst technicians in life time. The blue laser was new in 2007 and has only been running less than 2000 hours (life time for blue laser is 10000 hours). We have 2 Lambdas. The reason to selling this Lambda is our business direction is changing; we need space for new equipment. Pi50 is the simple version Lambda; it does not equip with roll to roll feature. As a result of simplicity, it has fewer problems. We have less than 6 service calls in the pass 6 years. Compare to 4 calls on the 131 in 1 year. We use the Pi50 only for those picky fine art photographers and 3D lenticular image printing. Our customers are very happy with the “nature photographic looks”. One of the Durst service technician states that he had never seen a Lambda outputs as good as this one. As we know, not all Lambdas output the same quality prints. The printing quality is depending on the age of the Lambda and how skillful the technician who installing and servicing it. According to our experience on buying and using  Lambda printers, we do not recommend to buy a used Lambda printer with out seeing it prints. We bought the 131 in a lab close out auction. We paid $9,500 for it without any chance testing it. After we move it to our lab, we had spend more than $45,000 to make it works and it still can not output prints as good as our Pi50. We do compare the prints come out from both Lambdas we have. Prints from this Pi50 are better than the prints from our 131 Plus Lambda, especially in the large even color area. The technician tried very hard to match the output from the 131 with the output from the Pi50, but he can not make it. He told us that the slower printing speed usually print better. A wearing out scanner (it cost $ 30,000 to replace) inside the Lambda also affecting the output quality. We chose to keep the 131 is because the 131 is printing faster, production speed is much more important for our environment. We have a used processor for sell also. The Lambda is physically located in Los Angeles and is available for inspection .Please contact Paul213-8807796 if you have any question.   The Lambda comes all items you need to start with: One media shift. One work station. One densitometer. One operation manual. One CD with complete Lambda 130/Pi50 service/install manual in it. This service /install manual usually des not come will the machine.
