Description   This auction is for a genuine and complete Canon IXUS II Compact APS Zoom Camera Photo Kit (i.e still in its original box with all extras/instructions included).I purchased this classic Canon APS zoom camera from a central London branch of Jessops and so can guarantee it is genuine, and it is still in excellent working order. The IXUS was the enhanced version of Canon's original IXUS camera and this model improved on the original, packing in a great 2x Zoom into a pocket-size stylish stainless steel body with the revolutionary "Box & Circle" design which set it apart from almost all other compact cameras on the market at the time. This was a high-end compact which won lots of Best Buy awards and cost £179 as I recall.   It has been used on numerous occasions and always produces great images considering how compact it is, especially in it's Panoramic mode which gives fantastically wide prints, perfect for landscapes. The box has some scuffs and marks as can be seen in the pictures, but the inserts are in good condition and all the documents including the manual are intact and in great condition. The camera unit itself is also in great condition with only very slight signs of wear to the outer body in terms of some slight discolouration to the metal on the zoom control, etc. This is all shown as is in the photographs so you can see that it is in very good shape indeed. I have never had any technical problems with the camera and as I sell it now it is working perfectly. I have included a battery in the package but this has had some use so I'm not sure how much energy it has left - the batteries are widely available of course (e.g. Boots sell them).   I have included the full specifications from the official Canon website at the bottom of this section (and if you look at the Camera Museum section of Canon's website they have a fantastic Design Room feature on the Camera Hall pages where you can see and read more about why this camera was so important to Canon at the time). Most IXUS II APS cameras on offer are unboxed, are missing some of the extras or are not in such good condition.   I would say this is a rare chance to own this design classic in such great condition and complete in its original box.
