This is a paper copy, NOT a PDF file. This literature is out of print, and is not available from Canon. (They don't even have any copies) Originally printed in 1993. If you have been looking for this information, then you know how rare this is. This item is a must for troubleshooting, adjustment, and repair of these units. It can also be used for the earlier models, ( L1, and EX1). The previous L1 and EX1 versions are basically the same when it comes to troubleshooting, but the L2/EX2 have a few more features (explained in the New Technologies setion). All information is in English. (Not Japanese or German) This Manual has 244 information packed pages for troubleshooting and repairing this product. The board layout pages and the schematics are divided into 4 quadrants per page to allow full size viewing and legibility. The schematics have O-scope screen inset pictures for proper signal recognition.The circuit description section explains in detail, how the circuits work such as  'pin one of IC100 provides a high to turn on Q1', etc.. Flow chart troubleshooting guide really helps with unfamiliar circuits. The parts lists with referance numbers and component descriptions allow you to find substitute component parts. There are no Ball array IC's in this camcorder, so no specialized equipment is needed for parts replacement. The information layout is fantastic.
