The later Nikonos I flash looks very similar to this flash, but the Calypso Phot flash has a plastic ribbed barrel rather than the Nikonos’ rubber diamond pattern. Often the Calypso flash has the words “Made in France” in raised letters on the plate at the base of the bulb socket but this one does not. This example is not in bad shape, but not great either. Some green corrosion on the screws that hold the aforementioned plate at the base of the bulb socket and on the connector at the end of the cord. Some overall marks, shows use.
