It is a very dark red, suitable only for infra red use, filtering out light below 650 nm.  It has never been used, never been put on a camera, and is still in the original plastic box.  I bought the wrong filter and kept it too long to send back - not too bright, but someone else will get the benefit of that mistake. I bought it from Adorama for just under $170. Shipping within the continental USA will be fixed at $6.  Insurance is available - optional although highly recommended.
