Description

Purchased by myself as a photographic resale item because it was a collectible & Useable ITEM: Asahi Pentax 1955 Asahiflex llA SLR w/ Takumar 58mm F:2.4 great Body condition, Look at these photos! MECHANICALLY: Split speed shutter at T,2,5,10 then 25~500. The shutter works, however the spring tension on the curtains does NOT allow full cycle and it hangs up, see photo. So you have to complete the closing of the shutter curtain, then the mirror returns. Shutter curtain in very good shape, no pin holes! Lens helicoil focus is very smooth and easy to turn. Lens diaphram preset works well. Winder, rewind, door release all in Mintish condition. OPTICALLY: Camera looks Mintish condition for 1955. Newtonion optical finder window has crack, but clear and useable. Pop up waist level works well, nice clear magnifer also. Takumar 58mm F;2.8 is beautiful clear optic, just look at these photos! USE: I would get the camera CLA'd as it would then be worth $500.00+ Feedback UPDATE: I leave professional positive feedback only and work out any and all problems if they happen.please contact me if problems in shipping or content occurs, first. A choice piece from a camera pro to you. Orginial, what more could you asked for, checked out by a known camera seller & technican for over 30 years. Good clean optics, GREAT image, 100% Money back Guarnteed on this auction as advertized! Enjoy, Don
Camera sale terms & shipping & Handling terms for: ALL other Antiques & RESTORED Musical Instruments P>
SquareTrade © AP6.0
Never buy a camera or lens on Ebay from someone who says they know nothing about cameras, lenses or optics. Believe me, I have bought over 400 broken cameras and lenses on EBAY from dishonest or ignorant SELLERS, especially summertime sellers, because they find flea market broken cameras. Questions, just ask me,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,No SALES to Zero rated Buyers unless you contact me first, YOUR BID will be cancelled by me, unless you contact me before bidding, and agree to pay on Paypal.com, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Enjoy, Don
You will be buying from Eastwestphoto.net with 35 years of fine Photographic Camera sales, & Repair and in Camera Trade Shows on the East coast of USA and Ebay worldwide. I ship internationally only through Priority Airmail from the USA Post office, with full package TRACKING & Insurance to protect you and I. American bidders get shipped by US Post Office priority mail, with Delivery TRACKING Form for protection and insurance for you and I, buyer & the seller. Zone 8+ West coast customers, the USPS has jacked up the rates, so please do not be mad at me for asking you for more money than I posted as a flat rate in the USA. Be professional. All International shipping charges include the above services and cost of all packing materials, labor and time to fill out all the forms. This is called Shipping and handling fee, please make sure that you have read and understand this. Due to high listing & closing costs and 4% loss on Paypal & shipping costs, no profit is possible for me on Ebay, therefore this is a legal hobby as of 1-1-08. I do have a $5.00 handling fee for time, filling forms out, custom forms and expenses for shipping cost of shipping materials for some international orders, not always, USA orders are always at cost, unless I have to make a special box design. many times I offer free shipping if the item is real small and less than a 2 lbs. package. <P All MUSICAL insurments are checked out carefully and advertized honestly. Much internet research is done before I advertized the item for sale. Ebay's advanced "completed items" are checked to make sure I am offering good value in the price range, I listed it at. Violins, cello's and trumpets I rebuild or service. I really enjoy working in wood these days and personally love restoring old violins and cello's. All wooden insurments are returned as close to known specs as i can get them. Often their sound is so incredible when i finish them, I fall in love with the item and find it hard to sell. Its a hobby of love, pure and simple.
I have specialized in the PHOTO field since 1968 holding an A.A.S. degree in Photographic Technology from the SUNY @ Farmingdale, L.I., NY and check my items out carefully, before listing. I also hold degrees in Earth Science B.S. & Geo-Physics M.S. & Electronics B.S., and taught electronics for 26 years, so you can be sure I check these items out. I have been known to rebuild shutters of Copal design and work on T.L.R. cameras. In 35mm , it has too be econmically fesible before I will rebuild these days as many 35mm cameras are not practible to repair as they sell for little money on Ebay.
I use Paypal.com as my #1 way to be paid fast, and ship fast when you pay fast. Domestic Priority mail is 3-6 Business Days from the post office under best circumstances. That’s there rules, NOT mine. I have a 5 day BUSINESS DAYS turnaround in sales in house, from the time YOU pay and I RECIEVE the money, not when you sent it. So together it could be one week to 14 days before you receive your item at times. Please be patient and professional and trusting. Holiday periods the USA post office is very, very slow, DO NOT hold me responsible for HOLIDAYS in the USA, please; or snow storm's in the NE. of Pa. where I live!
