The Ektra was Kodak's attempt at making one of the finest 35mm rangefinder cameras. When introduced in 1941, it was ahead of the competition of Leica, Contax, Nikon. It was a rangefinder that came with a lot of first time features. The Ektra retailed for about $700, a new car was not much more at the time. It had the first 35mm rangefinder to have a parallax compensated rangefinder, the first 35mm rangefinder to offer coating on every lens in the line up. It was also the first 35mm rangefinder to have a variable focus viewfinder from standard 50mm up to 254mm. The Ektra also had both a film advance lever and rewind lever. MINT as new without packing MINT- very fine condition showing only the very slightest and insignificant signs of use E++ better than average, signs of use but nice & clean E+ average condition, shows normal wear, looks okay E well used but not horrible looking E- very well used, unattractive VG ugly but well worth the price SPECIFIC CONDITION NOTES Glass looks fine with slight haze that will not effect image quality. The lens is attractive to the eye. The lens is in nice condition and operates correctly. Focusing and aperture operate smoothly. The can does show some use, it did a good job protecting the lens.
