Up for bid is an 8" FRESNEL Spot with Norman LH2000 Strobe FLASH HEAD mounted inside. When I owned a Studio we used this and other lamps like it to create that fantastic Hollywood Glamour look of the 40's. and it was alot less expensive than buying a Norman FS-10. And in many ways they are better than the FS-10. They are converted Century 2000 K Light heads. They are well ventilated so there is no risk to the head inside, as they were designed for a 2000 watt bulb. The Fresnel glass is perfect for spreading the light and maing skin glow when used for portraits.  Also these lamps can actually be focused althought a smaller modeling lamp with give more movement.   Unlike the FS-10, you can remove the head inside and replace it with another or even a less powerful Norman head so there is no need for costly repairs. Also, the entire head can be removed buy unscrewing the focusing screw on the bottom so changing a flash tube can be done is a flash. No pun intended. Included is a matching 4 way barndoor. One made by Norman is very costly.
