I am not an expert on Ambico filters, etc. This lot of ambico gear came to me in a large lot of equipment. This is an as-is auction because I simply don't have the time to examine and grade each single piece in detail. That said I will say that the filters themselves appear to have been little used. Resin/plastic type filters get marks on the edges from being inserted and removed from filter holders. I can not find evidence of that on any but a few of the filters in this lot. That said they will all need a thorough cleaning as some of the vinyl holders they are in have begun to break down leaving residue on the filters. It does come off, and at this point it is minor. But to anyone buying these filters I would say you will, after cleaning them, keep them in a new filter wallet or even paper envelopes. In fact most of this Ambico gear appears to have been used very little. Since there are multiple examples of some of the filters it makes me think that this gear might have been part of a buy out from a closing camera store, etc. Maybe even lots of it was demo material since the holders and rings were all loose and not in their original boxes, etc. Looks to me like there is a lot of useful material in this lot. 6 filter holders that snap into lens adapter rings and have slots to holder filters. 5 covers that slide into filter slot and act as a lens cover when a holder is mounted on a lens. 2 large plastic box like rectangles that snap onto front of holders and act as hoods or maybe holders for mattebox type effects? 4 round plastic rings that appear to snap onto the back of the filter holders and act as extensions.
