Description
Up for auction is a lot of 2 Quasar Audio/Video Cameras for use with Old Type VCR equipment with a DIN socket to accept this type of camera. I acquired these from an estate sale of a one time Videographer, but I know absolutely nothing about them. I have no way to test them with any of the equipment I own. Here is what I can tell you about these two cameras: One is a professional series, Opticon 2 camera model VK742TE, the date of mfg is Oct. 1981. It features a very sturdy handle system and appears to be built like a tank. It has both manual and auto focus, indoor/outdoor selector, and a manual/auto iris switch, light sensitivity, a fade and standby toggle. There is also a color balancing dial and a port for a VCR remote. It also has an extension microphone port and a button marked "WB" which I have no clue what that means. Macro zoom, TV zoom lense 1:1.4/12-72mm. Japan The other camera appears to be more elaborate yet. It is a model VK732TE, the date of mfg is June 1981. This camera appears to feature everything that is mentioned for the other camera. Both cameras offer a wide/telephoto rocker, and a fast/slow zoom speed button on the view finder. They both have telescoping microphones. The zoom lense on this camera is a 1:16/12-72mm, also made in Japan. This one also has macro zoom. It appears they were built sturdy for professional use, but again I say I have NO WAY TO TEST THEM. According to my scale the two of them total around 16 pounds, without a box or packing to ship them. I am figuring shipping an protective packaging will be about $30.00. I am starting the price low with NO RESERVE! This is a great opportunity for a collector who knows how to use and maintain this type of equipment. Thanks for looking, I hope they end up in a happy home. Please visit my store for other great merchandise
