The exterior is a red oil cloth that has been textured to resemble leather but it is NOT leather. It is worn. There is a tab closusre. These were considered "travel albums".  On the reverse of one of the CDV photos there is the photographer's name,  "Ecken's Sunbeam Gallery, Evansville, Indiana and on another is "D. M. Wright, Terre Haute, Ind."There are tintypes of 3 women, 7 men, 2 couples, 1 small girl which has been touched with a dab of gold, 6 CDV's of men. They are all dressed in clothing representative of the times and none of the men are in a military uniform.
